Join Weddin Landcare and Michael Gooden from RCS for our next grazing group meet-up on Wednesday 5 June.
This event will be hosted by Kylie Matthews at “Cooyong Homestead”. Kylie runs a 100% grass fed, holistically managed Angus herd using low stress stock handling methods and incorporates biodynamics into her system.

With the assistance of Michael Gooden, the day will cover:
- matching Stocking Rate to Carrying Capacity in season transition.
- how to encourage the winter grasses to come through, in a summer dominant, native pasture.
- economical mix for the winter gap that’s going to start to balance fungi, bacteria in soil and green pasture year-round.
- revisit feed budgeting on site.
Our Grazing Group is an opportunity for participants to connect with like-minded farmers/graziers, regular communications, and access to experienced regenerative farmers. Our members have all completed formal grazing management training, such as the RCS Grazing Clinic, RCS Grazing or Farming for Profit, Holistic Management or equivalent.
