Project applications were sought from land managers in the Weddin District in early 2021 for projects that:
- Established and/or managed groundcover
- Established or enhanced windbreaks
- Established a droughtlot
- Protected and/or stabilised streambanks or head cuts
- Involved grazing or holistic management training
APPLICATIONS FOR THE SMALL ENVIRONMENTAL GRANTS 2021 ARE NOW CLOSED
Thirteen project applications were received for the 2021 Small Environmental Grants program. These project applications were assessed in June 2021 and five successful projects were granted funding including one pasture establishment/management project, two streambank stabilisation projects and two droughtlots. These projects have received their first payments and works are now underway, with the projects due for completion by July 2023.
