To celebrate National Eucalypt Day 2027, Weddin Landcare has partnered with Weddin Community Native Nursery and the Grenfell Art Gallery to fill a gallery with gum trees and share the unique beauty, diversity and importance of Australia’s beloved Eucalypts.

The Gallery of Gums Eucalypt Exhibition will run from 26 February 2027 to 14 April 2027 and is open to artists and collectors to submit artworks, sculptures, memorabilla and merchandise.

The term ‘eucalypt’ commonly refers to three genera Eucalyptus, Corymbia, and Angophora. Within these genera there are more than 900 species, with Eucalyptus being the largest genus, holding more than 800 species. Prefering drier, fire-prone environments eucalypts are prominent in most Australian landscapes and their distinct characteristics and size make them one of Australia’s most recognisable trees.

This is a great opportunity to show your work or share a piece of memorabilia that means something to you and your connection with this Australian icon and to help promote the unique properties of our stunning eucalypts. Additionally, if you are familiar with the species of gum used in your work, please include it in your application.

If you have eucalypt-themed artwork or memorabilia that you would like to have included in the exhibition, we would love to hear from you!
