Stringybark Ecological is partnering with Weddin Landcare to share how to collect, process, and store native seed for your own project, as well as how to share, store, or sell it.

About the presenters:
Danielle Andersson
Senior Ecologist
Danielle loves living and working in the bush and feels privileged to be able to work in raising awareness and building capacity for others to look after the bush. Her diverse skillset in natural resource management encompasses ecological assessment, community capacity building, and vocational training and assessment.
Over a 20-year span she has held roles with private, Government, and Not for Profit conservation organisations. Over the last 14 years she has worked on several environmental management projects with Stringybark Ecological and joined the team as an Ecologist in 2022
Josephine Drieslma
Ecologist
Josie has a strong understanding of native plant propagation, developed through her previous role in a native plant nursery. In this role, she became familiar with local native plants and the processes involved in the collection, processing and storage of their seed. This included documenting source populations, operating specialised seed processing equipment and systematically storing seed within the nursery seed bank. The role also involved germinating seed, supporting seedling establishment, and recommending local species for gardens and revegetation projects.
Since joining Stringybark Ecological, Josie has applied and built on this knowledge through a range of restoration projects and community engagement activities.
