Weddin Landcare, together with the Weddin Community Native Nursery, are holding a seed collection workshop in Grenfell on Wednesday 30th November 2022.
This informative workshop will teach you:
– Local tree and shrub species to collect from.
– How to identify when seed is ripe to collect.
– Methods to collect and sort seed.
– How to correctly label, clean and store seed for future use.
The day will commence at the Grenfell Country Club, Gooloogong Rd Grenfell, for a theory session, followed by a field trip to a local site to practice collecting seed.
Please bring sun protection, water bottle, long pants and a chair for the field trip.
Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
This workshop has been funded through our 2022 Michael King Nursery Grant and is FREE for all participants.
