Join us to hear from Jayden Gunn, wildlife conversationalist, to learn what local nocturnal native species we can expect to encounter and how we can protect them and their natural habitats. Jayden is an enthusiastic environmental educator, an amazing photographer, and he specialises in showcasing the incredible wildlife unique to Australia.
The event will take place at Ochre Arch, where we will meet at the woolshed for Jayden’s presentation, before heading out the back to explore the bush block by torchlight.
Ochre Arch is owned by Jan and Phil Diprose. They have focused on regenerating the landscape since taking over the property in 2009 through holistic grazing practices. We will be walking through one of their back paddocks filled with White Box woodlands where there are plenty of old trees and hollows.
There is evidence of brushtail possums, owls, microbats, and antechinus on the property which we hope to spot on the night.
