As part of the Ooma Creek Tributaries Riparian Restoration Project, Weddin Landcare, together with Central West Local Land Services, are holding a revegetation day.
Date: Tuesday 25 July
Time: 9am – 4pm
Venue: Pinnacle Creek, Hoctors Road, Pinnacle
Morning tea provided, BYO lunch
We will begin the day with a short workshop outlining revegetation principles and techniques, followed by demonstrations of hand planting, direct seeding and mechanical seed planting.
After the demonstrations we’ll get our hands dirty and start planting trees and shrubs to create valuable riparian habitat for plant and animal communities as well as protection for stock and crops.
This is a fun opportunity to help contribute to our local projects and bring back the social side of Landcare, where farmers and community members come together to learn from each other and tackle environmental issues.
Please wear suitable outdoor clothing for tree planting and BYO gloves and water.
