Vaughn’s Dam Reserve Working Bee

Join us for a series of working bees to help tidy up and protect native habitats at Vaughn’s Dam Reserve.

Long-term plans for Vaughn’s Dam Reserve are to create an inclusive, educational, culturally dynamic, and natural community space whilst managing important habitat for local flora and fauna.

To get us started we are going to focus on removing weeds, rubbish, and old tree guards. Before moving into mowing walking trails and revegetation projects based on the Vaughn’s Dam Reserve Masterplan.

Trees are starting to outgrow the tree guards

Community members are encouraged to join in and help care for the reserve.

It’s a great way to meet like-minded people in the community and have a positive impact on the environment.

At the moment the weeds are fairly small and can mostly be removed by hand or light tools.

No experience is necessary. Please make sure you have enclosed footwear, long pants, a hat, gloves, and a water bottle.
